What is expected of me as a guide in the program?
As a guide, you will engage with students as they reach out to you for advice, support, information, or networking opportunities. This can be one or two visits with a student seeking advice and support without the need to commit to a longer-term mentoring relationship.
Why is this format beneficial for students?
This format allows students to connect with multiple alumni, gaining diverse perspectives and advice. Some students prefer this flexible approach as it provides them with the opportunity to meet several guides through the Student and Alumni Network.
How do students connect with alumni?
Upon joining the Student and Alumni Network, you will be included in our online community, where students can view profiles of potential guides. Students can then send a message to request guidance. You will review and approve requests based on the student's profile and your capacity. Then, you can connect with students through various means, including:
• Phone calls
• Virtual meetings
• In-person meetings
• Email exchanges
